Q: What is Call Tony Construction?
A: CTC is me, Tony. I am a one-man operation that focuses on residential remodels, renovations, or odd jobs in the home that people simply need help completing.
Q: Where does CTC operate?
A: CTC is based in Draper, Utah. I service the greater Salt Lake valley, Utah County, and the areas around Park City.
Q: How is CTC different than hiring a basic handyman?
A: The primary difference is that a handyman does not require a license. CTC is licensed (R101 #pending) and insured to give clients the reassurance that they are hiring a professional who has the training and experience to complete the job well and up to Utah State Code standards.
Q: Why is CTC only a one-person company.. wouldn't jobs be completed faster with 2 or 3 workers?
A: Yes, jobs do go faster with more bodies doing the work. But this also means that same work costs you - the client - potentially 2x to 3x more. The moment my labor burden includes even one additional employee, I am required to factor in payroll FICA withholdings, worker's compensation fees, unemployment coverage, additional tools, and more. When a project requires extra workers or specialized tasks, I can hire sub-contractors and manage them so you don't have to. But again, hiring subs incurs the cost of their companies.
So if speed and meeting a tight deadline on a large job is a priority for you, I'm probably not your guy.

Quality is Always My Priority
I grew up in Southern California where my father worked in the pool construction industry. Digging ditches and setting PVC pipes were some of my childhood jobs. My dad was a do-it-yourself kind of guy, and he encouraged me to learn at his side fixing cars, updating the yard, and renovating the house. I am blessed to have a dad that taught me by example (and a swift boot) that hard work is how things get done.
In high school I became an apprentice in a Pasadena cabinet shop and honed skills beyond wood shop. The following years in construction gave a wide range of hands-on experience in framing, drywall, insulation, and more.
I feel fortunate to have a talent for working with my hands. I enjoy it. Those I work for and with say I'm very good at it. So now I leverage that experience for the benefits of others. Let me help you get that job done.
